Solution To Windows 10 Laptop Not Charging When Plugged In.
Has your laptop been plugged into the charger and not charging? Well you have been a victim to another windows 10 update. This update was a while ago (10 April 2018) so you may have already resolved the issue. But for those of you who have not, don't worry the solution is here. There have been many cases where this has happened so luckily it is not uncommon. There is also, luckily an easy solution.
If your laptop is plugged into the charger and even recognising that it is plugged in, then this is what you need to do: You want to open device manager (If this method is to technical for you , you can also contact us) ,you do this by either right clicking the windows icon or searching for it. Then click on batteries and you should see these two appear, Microsoft AC Adapter and Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery. If these items appear then you need to right click on them and click uninstall. Now yes I understand that you are uninstalling, but never fear as when you restart your laptop and take the battery out and then back in, your laptop will then respond to charging. If however your battery isn't a flip out then you will need to contact us, and we will send a technician out as soon as possible.
The fact that there was also another issue regarding this update (also found on the Razor Tech page) means that Microsoft let many troubling bugs slip past the testing phase. This is not a rant about Microsoft however, and we have to commend them for trying to release a fix to this bug as soon as possible. If this doesn't fix your laptop, then just contact us and we will have a technician to your door immediately.
Thank you to cnet for publishing this article and making us aware of this issue.
